Collegiate Relations

The AMA Tampa Bay Chapter enjoys a close relationship with the University of Tampa, University of South Florida and St. Leo University AMA Collegiate Chapters.  Collegiate members are invited to our monthly meetings and events at a reduced student rate, increasing the value of membership through networking with local professionals. 

The Collegiate Relations committee supports professional chapter members by:

  • Dispersing information to students regarding available internships.
  • Assisting in locating students to fill part-time employment.
  • Introducing students to local professionals working in their career choice. 
  • Providing assistance in establishing mentoring opportunities. 
  • Acting as liaison between local Collegiate Chapters and Tampa Bay Chapter. 
  • Assisting collegiate members in transitioning from collegiate to professional membership after graduation by becoming a Bridge member.

AMA's Collegiate Division

The AMA's Collegiate Division sponsors programs for collegiate members to help students face challenges during the academic years and upon entering the workforce. Programs are offered for both individual member and Collegiate Chapter participation.

Being an AMA member means joining a network of close to 13,000 collegiate and 25,000 professional marketers. As an AMA Collegiate Member, students gain access to everyday resources that can help in the classroom and beyond including:

  • AMA Conferences & Seminars  The AMA offers a year-long series of more than 30 specialty conferences, boot camps, workshops, and hot-topic seminars.  Collegiate Members can attend at a discounted rate.
  • AMA Member Roster  Network with professionals in your local area or across the continent by searching the online AMA Professional Member roster.
  • Leadership Opportunities  Participating in your local collegiate and professional chapters is a unique opportunity to manage finances, people, projects, and deadlines - the skills you'll need as a marketing professional.  Have fun while enhancing your resume.
