The Chick-fil-A Story: Building a Brand
March 21, 2012
Glazer Children’s Museum
110 West Gasparilla Plaza
Tampa, FL 33602
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Join us as Dan Cathy, President and Chief Operating Officer of Chick-fil-A, shares his story about how Chick-fil-A, founded by his father, S. Truett Cathy, has evolved from a small Atlanta diner into one of the largest family owned businesses in America.
Chick-fil-A has set itself apart with innovative restaurant concepts and products, a memorable ad “‘cow’mpaign” that’s taken a life of its own, and "second mile" service (exceeding the highest expectations of a fast-food restaurant) that provides customers with an exceptional dining experience.
Participants will learn:
- Truett’s childhood, family life and the founding of the Dwarf Grill.
- The story behind the Chick-fil-A name and logo.
- Growth through the “malling” of America.
- How the idea of cows selling chicken has become one of the most iconic advertising campaigns of all time.
- The future of the brand and the third generation of ownership.
